This book is a collection of ink drawings drawn directly from life while I rode the New York City subway. These are sensitive, simple ink line drawings that capture the human spirit. Drawing in public is very demanding in both time and attention. I posted my first slideshow of these drawings over 15 years ago, and now this new version with a subway sound track that I made while riding the subway. It is a powerful new addition making the experience much more interesting than with the drawing going by in silence

This work is a glimpse into a subject that many people avoid and fear, yet it is a subject that we all will face. To be afraid to look at death while you are alive will surely create fear when you die. We must spend our life preparing for this inevitable event if we want peace and understanding when we face our Death and beyond. I have found that when I spend time preparing for my death, I actual feel more alive and life becomes more vibrant and real. Face it, it is our final task.
